Volator Posted November 13 Posted November 13 A historical map from the 1990s to 2000s timeframe would make much more sense in my humble opinion… 1 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

Your reading comprehension sucks. Quote: " the DCS: Balkans map will allow the recreation of NATO operations over former Yugoslavia from 1991 to 2001." does not mean map is modelled in that timeframe. If you have a problem with this, Bane will create a custom battlefield for us to slug it out! 1 1

There was nothing to comprehend as no data was given apart this timeframe. What do you think would come to my mind first. Now I know. Btw, shout-out to Bane!

You don't have to waste "winders" on him, first AAA that ambushes him will do.

Hootman9104 Posted yesterday at 01:41 AM Posted yesterday at 01:41 AM This is great news. I served in the Balkans during one of the last SFOR rotations in 2001, and if this has been covered forgive me. I see the map has an airfield marked at Tuzla, I would just like to add information that might be of use, if you already know, again, sorry. Tuzla Airport housed the Headquarters base for Multinational Division North (MND North), known as "Eagle Base", led by the U.S. At Tuzla airport, there were some aviation assets, for instance a small UH-60 detachment for the MND North Commanding General. Just southwest of Tuzla International was the primary U.S. Army Airfield base known as "Camp Comanche". This is currently known as Ciljuge Sport Airfield. LQCG is the ICAO code for the Ciljuge Sport Airfield,. It is located at coordinates 44.44119785717008, 18.678135102820587 and features a single runway (11/29). Most of the buildings the U.S. put up at Camp Comanche are gone, but you can still see the general outline of the base and where the buildings used to be. Eagle and Comanche were set up in an "Old West" style of buildings, painted dark brown and with covered sidewalk/porches. There were barracks, a mess hall, a gym, a football field, a chapel, motor pool, various bunkers and guard towers along with maintenance office buildings, etc. Also included in the center was a small complex with a barber, Post Exchange, Burger King, Subway, Cappuccino bar. I still have some photos of the buildings and can use the current view from Google maps to provide / draw locations of the base as it was in 2001. It would of course not be perfect, but combined with others memories and photos I think would help build a good base setup for Camp Comanche. The aircraft in use by 2001 were UH-60L and OH-58D model aircraft stationed at Camp Comanche, and I think the previously mentioned small contingent of UH-60L, CH-47, and C-12 at Eagle Base / Tuzla International. 2
