Please add Sigonella military base.

The yellow area must include the Strait of Messina to ensure navigational continuity between the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Ionian Sea, and the Adriatic Sea. Without this inclusion, it would not be possible to represent a complete maritime route, such as the navigation of aircraft carrier (Truman, Bush, Eisenhower) from Naples to Trieste, as these basins (Tyrrhenian Sea, Ionian Sea, and Adriatic Sea) would appear disconnected from each other.

I wonder how good the airstrips and bunkers of Bihać-Željava or Rupa (the Hole), as it was called, will look like... The most expensive project of Yugoslav air force.

LQBK Banja Luka International Airport

At the start of the Bosnian war the following units where stationed here:

- 27th Fighter-Bomber squadron (J-22 Orao)

- 28th Fighter-Bomber squadron (J-21 Jastreb)

- 89th Mixed Helicopter Regiment (Gazelle and Mi-8T)

AA units:

-474th Anti-Aircraft Artillery and Missile Regiment

(2K12 Kub , S-75 Dvina and S-75M Volkhov)

With AAA: 20, 30, 40mm

-51st Air Warning and Control Battalion

-155th Air Defence Missile Brigade

It was the HQ of the newly formed ViPVOVRS (Air force and Anti Air systems of the Army of the Republic of Srpska) formed on the 27th may 1992 and became the 874th Air Base along with the Zaluzani airbase nearby.

That same day sorties started against Croatian forces in Posavina and later in the Operation Corridor.

I really hope the developers add this one in cause it played a significant role in the war and it also fills a void on the map.

The American base with an airport in Kosovo, north of Djakovica, and the Dolac airport in Ivangrad - Berane should also be implemented in this project.

Additionally submitting Klagenfurt and Graz as significant dual use airports for both civilian and military air traffic.

Both of these are well within the defined borders of the high detail area.

In the Italian side I feel quite some important airfield are missing and hopefully will be added in the future, in order of importance:

Villafranca airport: was the base of 3rd stormo, a recon F-104G squadron (that we will soon get), fundamental base for Cold War gone hot scenarios.

Ghedi airport: main base of Italian tornadoes, that we will also get.

Cervia: base of the Italian F-16s during the peace CAESAR program. Useful for what if scenarios if Italy kept the program going with more advanced vipers.

Rimini: base of both interceptor (23 gruppo) and bomber (102 gruppo) F-104S

 

all this four airports are very close to the detailed map area border
