Dear Friends!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: We have limited knowledge of the history of combat aviation and ground force operations in the Balkans between 1991 and 2000, and we are looking to collaborate with knowledgeable DCS mission and campaign content creators with strong and proven Mission Editor skills. We can provide a pre-release build to create missions and campaigns for the Balkan theatre that would be included with the map. During the content creation process, we will take your suggestions and feedback into account when creating the map.
If you are interested and have the experience, knowledge, and skills required, we look forward to hearing from you through a direct message here.

Meanwhile, we continue to work on the project. Check out the latest images

Best wishes,
OnReTech team

At the Ladjevci - Kraljevo airport, four more concrete shelters for airplanes - (kaponira) are missing. The Golubovci - Podgorica airport is not complete if it does not contain the Sipcanik facility - an underground shelter.

There is great documentation of the MiG-29 flights of 1999 conflict by @okopanja in the 29 section:

All the people keep asking for capabilities to be modelled.... I want the limitations to be modelled.... limitations make for realistic simulation.

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a bit you realize the pig likes it.

Since you already took Dubrovnik airport into consideration, I would suggest adding Osijek airport as well as it's the only major airport in the whole East of Croatia and would be useful in various potential mission scenarios.

Plus, if the runway length is any criteria, it's 2500 m which is the same length as Niš airport and longer than e.g. Mostar or Lecce shown above.

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?).

Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!

Yes, this airport was used to smuggle the weapons in early 90s from Hungary. Hence interceptions were attempted with Mig-21s, but due too low speed of small transport airplanes, did not work as expected.

Instead EWR radar was setup to monitor the area closer and J-22 airplanes were used to strike the aircrafts on landing and after landing.

Other than that it did not play large role.

J-22 in short:

There's only one major airport - Klisa (the other one is of grass field type for sports aviation) - and it was built in 1980.

Here's a photo from some airshow hosting two Il-76, 6 PC-9 and a few MiG-21s.
