Dudikoff Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Since you already took Dubrovnik airport into consideration, I would suggest adding Osijek airport as well as it's the only major airport in the whole East of Croatia and would be useful in various potential mission scenarios. Yes, this airport was used to smuggle the weapons in early 90s from Hungary. Hence interceptions were attempted with Mig-21s, but due too low speed of small transport airplanes, did not work as expected. Instead EWR radar was setup to monitor the area closer and J-22 airplanes were used to strike the aircrafts on landing and after landing. Other than that it did not play large role.
