What specifically is the issue you're seeing?

What I see is the red (enemy) contact has the top half as both a caret (enemy) and circle (friendly), and the bottom half a a circle (friendly).

The full circle is for displaying what MSI trackfiles have ownship radar contribution. It's a separate symbol from the HAFU system and under normal conditions it should be on the inside perimeter of the HAFU's. 

There is a different issue here that has already been reported however which is the 75% sizes off-board L16 contribution symbols are being shown here instead of the full size HAFU's

I tried changing several settings in both the radar options and game options but the problem remains in all radar modes except SA Page.

Doesn't matter what your opinion is. The ownship radar contribution circle is part of the real hornet and its MSI.

I'm referring to the information in the basic manual.

Anyway, I understand now that a new feature was recently added (MSI ownship trackfiles) represented by the full circle, which indicates a radar track detected by our radar.

did I understand correctly?

Any MSI trackfile that has your own radar contributing to it will have that smaller circle inside the HAFU symbol.
