[Tutorial] Custom NVGs via Reshade

0. Download the ReShade Presets and effects from here: https://flightsim.to/file/14860/night-vision-goggles + .ini and uiMask.png files from this topic attachments
1. Install Reshade to DCS in /bin, you don't need to install any effects apart from the default.
2. Move all the .ini files and the reshade-shaders folder to DCSWorld/bin
3. Move the uiMask.png file to DCSWorld/bin/reshade-shaders/textures
4. Enable a preset of your choosing in ReShade and assign a key to toggle the effects. I also recommend checking "Enable Performance Mode" and "Only Load enabled effects"
5. Enjoy

If you're using a screen that's not 16:9, you'll need to tweak the uiMask.png file, simply load it to an image editor of your choice, rezise the canvas, center the original image and fill in the blank with #FFFFFF color. If you want to create your own uiMask, i recommend applying a Feather (Select>Feather in GIMP) of 10px or greater on the selection before filling the circle in #000000 to create a nice fade-out gradient.



If you're using Optiscaler install reshade to /bin-mt and move the files to /bin/plugins like shown here.


All credits for the original effects and presets go to Feint, I've simply refined them for use within DCS.
