CE_Mikemonster Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Just wondering if anyone actually has a FFB cushion, chair or buttkicker that is 'good' for flight simming. The major gripe I have with flight sims is that I want to feel the aircraft fly, and not having a FFB joystick i'm really asking for any other options. There are a few other threads but nothing specifically about the different options, and user's reviews, so I thought i'd post a new thread hoping people could reccommend absoluteley anything and everything. Every little helps, cheers :) (btw I'll be getting a FFB joystick later on this year.. but why stop at that?) Too many cowboys. Not enough indians. GO APE SH*T
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I have owned a Buttkicker Gamer and have to say "ONCE SET UP PROPERLY" it literally knocks your socks off! But like I said you have to tweak audio settings and some buttkicker settings to get the right feel from it. Tweaking is pretty basic though and not difficult in any way. That with FFB HOTAS and TrackIR is flight sim heaven right there! http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
CE_Mikemonster Posted September 2, 2009 Author Posted September 2, 2009 Hahaha thanks bud. I am contemplating it. Will it combine with a FFB stick to give you stall warnings etc etc? Too many cowboys. Not enough indians. GO APE SH*T
-Bazong- Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 An FFB stick will give you stall warnings etc if the sim has implemented it, it's very nice in IL-2 for example - One can really feel push the AOA limit in turns.. In BS the FFB just sets the trim position as in the real chopper. AFAIK the buttkicker just reacts to sound, so you'll have to set a low-pass filter so that it kicks when the sim plays bassy sounds..
