Spudman Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 So, can anyone out there tell me why the Vikhrs missile flies a spiral trajectory to its target? I've heard that it's because it only has one servo to control its fins, I've also heard that it has something to do with the way that the seeker was designed. I've researched this thing for a while and can't find an answer.
GaryIKILLYOU Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I heard it was for deterence of anti missile weapons like that thing the israelies have that can take down a RPG like mad. The vids are sweet. Boberro Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 There are few threads where it is well explained. In short it is cos Vikhr is really cheap, cheap means lower electronics and construction. So it has one steering thing, this is why it is rolling, but to get full response search these thrteads here. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
