Simo Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I just downloaded Notepad++ in order to open the options.lua file to lower water and effects to improve frame rates, however when I try to save the modifications I get the message "Please check whether if this file is opened in another program". Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

sobek Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I can change LUAs even during DCS running. The gui or the game? Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Dethmagnetic Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Are you running Vista with DCS installed in the Program Files folder? If so, you need to run Notepad++ in Administrator mode or else Vista won't let it save files into Program Files. /had this same problem [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My rig: i7 3770K oc'd to 4.7 GHz | Asus Maximus 5 Extreme mobo | 4 x 8 GB Crucial Ballistix Elite DDR3 | 2 x EVGA GTX 680 in SLI | Asus Xonar Phoebus audio card | OCZ Vertex 4 512 GB SSD My peripherals: Dell U3011 30" at 2560x1600 | TM HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Combat Pedals | TrackIR 5 | Logitech G13 | Sennheiser HD 558 | Razer Black Widow | Razer Imperator
