Nutkin Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/article6859007.ece 1) Though if global warming has its way, it might not be necessary to turn the de-icers on! 2) Despite the headline, it actually sounds like Nato and Russia will be co-operating more - booo
EtherealN Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Nutkin, depends on where you are. Some models of global average temp increasing has the gulf stream changing course, which would give most of europe the same climate as Quebeq and Russia will get even colder. :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Stickers Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Which Tom Clancy novel was this? I can't remember... ;)
Shez Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 lol Global Warming. Please post some proof. _:Windows 10 64 Bit, I7 3770 3.4Ghz, 16 Gigs Ram, GTX 960, TM Warthog, Track IR 5 w/Pro Clip:_
EtherealN Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 How about this for proof: the fact that Russia, the US, Norway and Denmark are gearing up to assert their respective dominances of the north pole because the ice is retreating? Lots of money can be made through establishing a legitimized military control of the area - but it only matters if the ice melts, because only then would it be a useable transit route for shipping and only then will drilling and such become viable. So ask the military planners. And then you can check the wavelengths of incoming light, light reflected and re-emitted by the ground, and the frequencies absorbed of different elements present in our atmosphere. Going into a long debate about that here is quite offtopic though, but "please post some proof" is funny - scientists have been doing that in peer reviewed journals for 20 years now. (And don't fall into the Pen & Teller trap of citing Time magazine about the 1970's. That's not a peer-reviewed journal. ;) ) Now back to the actual military stuff, okey? :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
