borchi_2b Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 hi, i have a question. is it possible to define areas in a map with red lines for every pilot in the ABRIS. what i aim for is, making a mission in which every pilot has these red lines for battleareas without making an individual flightplan, so that a player, who ever it may be, who joins the game, has the same areas marked, so that they all can make induvidual flightplans ingame but all have the same boxes of threat areas? i have seen that on a mission on a server once, but i have no idea how they made it. thanks http://www.polychop-sims.com

There's a button in the ME that allows you to "prepare aircraft" or something like that. That gives you the chance to define areas on ABRIS ahead of time. I think what happens is that when you hit this button, you load into the pit of the chopper and you can mess with ABRIS like making "little red boxes and lines" and such. To make those little red boxes and the such, you will need to consult the massive portion of the manual about the ABRIS. So, anywhere, that's where to look I think. Tell us how you do! arrogant, realism-obsessed Falcon 4 junkie
STP Dragon Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 (edited) Yes, it is possible but difficult to explain. You have to open the mission-editor and open the menu "Flight" > "Prepare mission" Now you are in the cockpit in the running mission and you can draw the lines. (german manual 7-68 ) Switch to the PLAN mode and click SELECT. Choose ADD INF in the contextmenu and confirm with SELECT. Now click to ADD LIN to draw a line by rotate the right turning knob. If you want to select a other color, click on COLOR. Press the right turning knob if you want to switch the direction between up/down and left/right. Press ENTER if you want to add a drawn line. Press CANCLE if you are finished and want to exit the mode. After you draw your lines you have to save the lines into the database (and thereby in the missionfile). (german manual 7-29 ) Switch to the MENU mode and click CTRL. Then press SETUP, choose DTB in the contextmenu and confirm with SETUP. After this press SAVE and save all the entries in the manu. Therefor press SAVE again and select the next entry be click on the V (down arrow)... and so on. Now you can exit the mission. If you start it again the lines should be still in the ABRIS for all Ka-50 you added or will add to the mission. borchi_2b Posted October 12, 2009 Author Posted October 12, 2009 danke dragon, werde es ausprobieren. http://www.polychop-sims.com
Grimes Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 thanks for the info, I'll try to figure this out. Note to ED: As much as I love the new editor and the triggers it has (when compared to LockOn)... this is terribly user unfriendly. You've taken an incredibly useful feature that adds to online teamwork and situational awareness and you've hidden it away from where it should be, in the directly a feature in the mission editor. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Frederf Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Can you save ABRIS flight plans in the database (mission file) as well?
Panzertard Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Can you save ABRIS flight plans in the database (mission file) as well? Yes, whatever you change will be stored when you do a "Prepare mission" from the Mission Editor - if you follow Dragon's suggestion. :) The mind is like a parachute. SKUNK Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Hmm.. Ok I know how to "prepare mission" and save it out for all KA-50s for multiplayer scenario, but how do I prepare the BLUE coalition with different INFlines or INFpoints? thx;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "If something hasn't broken on your helicopter, it's about to."
STP Dragon Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I never tryed it but I think you have to set the Player-Ka50 into the blue coallition and do the same thing. SKUNK Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) I never tryed it but I think you have to set the Player-Ka50 into the blue coallition and do the same thing. Please. try it; cause it transfers to all Ka-50s in my case...{also in case of secondary BLUE"mission prepare"}Builds only one ABRIS folder in the .miz file. Em I doing something wrong? (Im not going to show the oponent the route of REDcoalition convoy) Edited June 9, 2010 by SKUNK [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "If something hasn't broken on your helicopter, it's about to."
