hreich Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 INU update switch - on the right side of cockpit below numpad. For what is up, and for what is down position of the switch? I know there are two modes for fixing position, one is overfly and fix, and the other is fix the position with shkval sensor and lock button, but i dont know what are the exact positions for that switch? GGTharos Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 It's described in the manual. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

When set to "И-251В""UP", INU coordinates will be corrected using the Shkval optics. When set to "ПРОЛ""DOWN", the coordinates will be corrected by over-flying a reference point. Frederf Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 This is one of the worst labeled switches in the Ka-50 IMO. The difference is whether you update the INU via the point at the end of the Shkval "broomstick" in front of you or if you update the INU via directly flying over the point with the helicopter. I like to think of it as Up = Far in front (Shkval) and Down = Under me (Flyover). 2
hreich Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 Thanks, just the answer I was looking for, and for easier remembering! This is one of the worst labeled switches in the Ka-50 IMO.
