Hey, I just played this mission, I destroyed two of the convoys (south and center), but then I just did not find the third one, despite I spent some time flying. There wasn`t a message saying that they have reached the destiny or so, then I went home to land without finish the mission. Is there a way (during the mission) to know where the enemies are when out of sight? Other thing is that I just couldn`t aim correctly with rockets. ATGM and Cannon are ok, though. Thanks for help! Hugs

The difficulty/simulation options should have a "Show enemy units on map" tick box along with the "Use these settings for all missions" to make sure your preferences apply. Then the F10 should show everything?

Yes, the two check boxes that you quote are checked. Even then It does not show enemie units in that mission. It worked when I played Shooting Range, though. Can`t understand...

If you can, help me about aiming with rockets. It`s quite hard. Thanks.

The difficulty rating shows the targets on the F-10 Map, not on the ABRIS.

Enemy units visible on the ARBIS are set in the mission-editor and it only shows the targets at the position when you start. If they are moving, you have a good hint where to start your search, based on the "intelligence data" stored in your ABRIS. But they cannot be updated inflight.

Also note that the mission can force a given setting and override the settings you have made in your own difficulty settings. However, that doesn't seem to be the case on this mission (I opened it in the editor just now to doublecheck that), but if you run into similar issues on other missions that is one thing to be aware of.

EDIT:

On rockets - they're just not easy to use. The first thing to know about them is that you will never use them as a precision weapon. Unguided rockets are a spray-and-pray weapon. That said, there are ways to improve your odds of scoring a kill with them and the most important thing is to be a stable launch platform. It is not enough to just move the pipper onto the target and launch the rockets when the pipper moves over the desired impact point - the momentum of your helicopter will transfer to the rocket and it'll miss. Instead you should achieve level flight and a stable attitude, and then fly towards your target (trimmed and stable, you don't want to have any oscillations) and launch as your pipper crosses over the desired impact point. Remember that the pipper will only correctly predict impact point if it has range information.

It is possible to achieve a bit of precision from a hover as well, but very difficult since the rocket hardpoints do not swivel like the Vikhr launchers do to compensate for your helicopters pitch attitude. Therefore a trimmed forward flight is preferred.
