If you have burned your own XP cd it is possible that you may not have the correct "boot information" - then you may use the alternative method here; - You can start "setup" from your previous Windows XP - if you are on the desktop, insert the CD and then go to the CD drive in your Windows Explorer - and doubleclick the Setup there.
