Restart PC, get into BIOS (press DEL or F2) and in BIOS make sure in boot settings you have CD/DVD selected as first boot device... save BIOS setting and reboot and leave XP CD in CD/DVD drive... when it asks you to "press any key to boot from CD..." you know what to do ;) Follow rest of installation prompts...

Kuky gave you the right option if your CD is an original Microsoft CD.

If you have burned your own XP cd it is possible that you may not have the correct "boot information" - then you may use the alternative method here;

- You can start "setup" from your previous Windows XP - if you are on the desktop, insert the CD and then go to the CD drive in your Windows Explorer - and doubleclick the Setup there.

Thanks to all for replying me. But there is some confusion you have created to me. Hope next time there will be some simple suggestion for me.
