Snacko Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I have two flights of Su33s with the waypoints set to land on the carrier. In the Mission Editor it looks fine. I set all of their fuel to 10-20%. But they just circle the carrier, approach with the gear/hook down and then climb when the approach the carrier. The do this until they are out of fuel and then crash into the ocean. Are the AI Stupid, or is it me? Lockon's editor was so easy compared to this thing. It takes me so long to get stuff to work that I usually give up and don't build any missions. Too bad really.. sobek Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I think this is a problem that got introduced with DCS. Not sure though. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Vecko Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 (edited) Try to reduce wind speed...Looks like if windspeed is above 2m/s AI refuse to land on carrier... Edited November 15, 2009 by Vecko [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Aerial Operations
Snacko Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 Wind speed is 0 and the carrier is moving at 20. Snack Officer Intel I9-10850K (OC @ 5.0ghz) │ 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4 3200 │Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24gb - ҉ - Blackshark Cockpit Trainer - ҉ - ♣ Thread | ♥ Download
BigVette Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 (edited) Has anyone else noticed that if you land and shut down on say the Russian carrier, your aircraft wants to stay fixed while the ship continues to move on? I had to stary back up and takeoff otherwise I would have fell off the ship!
