Wolverine Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 On the training mission on the Su-25T the F2 camera angle is changed and instead of being centred on the Sue it is centred on the LLTV pod. I have also seen a few vids where the camera is centred slightly of the nose. How do I do that? I know its something to do with the LUA files but pffft. I don't know. Please help an ignorant soul. Asus ROG Strix B-560-F, Intel i9-11900k, EVGA GTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000, 1TB WD Blue SN550 NVME SSD, Asus PB287Q 28" 3840x2160 TN 4K, Thrustmaster Warthog + F/A-18 HOTAS, Thrustmaster MFD Cougar, Thrustmaster TFRP rudder, Razer orbweaver chroma. Guest ruggbutt Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 You can slew the camera angle around w/your mouse (if mouse external is on) or w/the arrow keys.
Wolverine Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 I know that. Being around since flanker 1.5 I'm not that green. :icon_lol: My question was not how to rotate the camera but how to change the centre of rotation. I.E. instead of F2 rotating around the centre of the aircraft setting it to rotate around different points like the LLTV pod, pylons and wing. etc. Although I understand my posts could be worded better and have more clarity but going 55 hours now without sleep cut me some slack.  :icon_lol: Asus ROG Strix B-560-F, Intel i9-11900k, EVGA GTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000, 1TB WD Blue SN550 NVME SSD, Asus PB287Q 28" 3840x2160 TN 4K, Thrustmaster Warthog + F/A-18 HOTAS, Thrustmaster MFD Cougar, Thrustmaster TFRP rudder, Razer orbweaver chroma. KuostA Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 I know exactly what you mean. This feature has been around since the original. Go to F2 view, pan the camera to a location on the aircraft, and press Shift-Esc, And it will undock the piveting from the center of the aircraft, to a new position relative to your camera position.

KuostA Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Yup! And since we're in a thread about camer angles, thought I might post my question here: What was the file I edited, and What DO I edit, to be able to move the camera all the way down to ground level when Im in F11 Free-cam view? The default doesnt allow you to move all the way down, So the maximum lowest is still Above the height of an Aircraft. There are many screenies depicting the view from the Ground looking UP at the nose and gear of an aicraft. Also, has this been automatically already done in 1.1? If not, is this edit compatible with it?

Brit_Radar_Dude Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Kuosta - there doesn't seem to be a Server.lua in v1.02 so I think Valery means that is where it is for v1.1? I think for v1.02 you need to look in both view.lua (has CameraTerrainRestriction=true/false) and view.cfg (CameraTerrainRestriction=1/0), I guess ya better change both? KuostA Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Perfecto, was what I was looking for. Appreciated as usual, Brit radar and Valery!
