Cradle Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Hi i have posted this on TrackIr own forum since im sertain this is a trackir problem and not a dsc:bs issue, but ppl here seem to response a million times faster so i post it here aswell just for kicks :) the "problem" is that i think its hard to do very small and smooth adjustments to the view when looking straight forward since i have to "snap" the head slightly to either side to "uncage" the trackir when it has "stabilized" itself in the center view. If i continue to look to either side or up/down the movement is as smooth as i want it but most of the time i look pretty straight ahead and center. I have tried to find a way to disable this but i havent found anything. It has nothing to do with dead zone or movement speed or anything since the trackir follows as a charm when its allready moving. I dont know if its some kind of "stand by" mode or such but all lights are on and when i pan the view slowly straight ahead i feel that the view "wants" to pull itself to the center... like a magnet or something. If i dont move my head for a long time the trackir seems to shut down momentaraly but this is not the same thing. I hope i have managed to describe the problem and that there is a way round it.. merry christmas btw ----- My life as a child did not prepare me for the fact that the world is full of cruel and bitter things. -Robert Oppenheimer, 1904-1967 TM Warthog Hotas, TM Rudder, Track IR 5 Next Level GT Ultimate V2 Gaming Chair Racing Simulator Cockpit 43" Screen
zaelu Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Sounds like a dead zone issue though... 104th_Crunch Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Yes, Make your curve at the center to have no deadzone. A straight V The TIR will move with the slightest movement even at center. This might be annoying though.
Harry Cockpit Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Using smooth profile with speed at 2, smooth at 50. Your talking about the "snap to center" feel I assume. This setup fixes it some, hope this helps.
