Ingolf Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) Hi all! I have a hard time combining the above (title) and making the trim work properly. The shark handles ok with the stick (Extreme 3D pro) and the peddals from G25 (also, thanks for posting the rudder solution jason peters!). Somehow, the G25 overrides the stick. When both are plugged in, I can trim my rudder (using peddals and "T" for trim, as default). However, when pushing stick forward and trying to trim the pitch (attitude), it wont set the stick at the trim position. It simply falls back to center. If I use only the joystick (unplugging the G25), then the trim works as normal. So there is obviously a conflict! I tried switching th ID's of the two controllers from 1 to 2 and vice versa. No effect. Now I started to look in the files at ***\BlackShark\Config\Input\Aircrafts\ka-50\joystick and messed around with the input parameters. No success so far. It seems that although the sim responds to all inputs in game (both G25 peddals and the stick E3D Pro), when "T" is pressed, it only stores values coming from the G25. Shouldn't be so hard to solve? Anyone have experience of these two hardwares together in BS? And better yet, a solution? OK, so, this was a bigger problem than I thought. I'll try to solve it and come back with a solution if I ever find one :). JasonJ Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 I was about to post a question in the forums if this was possible to do. Seached and found this. Anyone have a solution? I was about to upgrade to a FFB joystick SPECIFICALLY to be able to use trim correctly and have the joystick 'lock' into trim. No point buying one if I can't even use the FFB with my rig. I also use my G25 pedals for yaw control. Ingolf: Have you tried disconnecting the DC power to the G25 and see if that works? It would disable the output of the FFB to the wheel, but I'm not confident the FFB on the joystick would magically start working though. Sim Rig || Pics 2010 | PC 2019 || 8600K @ 4.8GHz | RTX2080ti OC | 32GB RAM @3000 | 500GB SSD | Win10 64bit | PC 2010 || 2600K @ 3.4GHz | Zotac GTX680 | 8GB RAM | Win7 64bit Ultimate SP1 | Cockpit || Joystick: T.16000M | Pedals: Logitech G25 | Throttle & Collective: Logitech Attack3 Modded | Button Box: G25 Shifter | Cockpit || HP Reverb VR | Custom Frame & Seat | 3x Bass Shaker | 2:1 Game Sound | 2x Rear Head Rest Speakers Comms/Music |
JLZ Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 I don't have pedals, so I couldn't try. Maybe system "thinks" you have FFB joystick as you have pedals from FBB wheel. If this is a case, try this. Find producer.cfg. It should be in ...\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Config\ Make backup of it. Open it with notepad and change first line to ForceFeedbackEnabled = false; 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
JasonJ Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Yep, that will work if the joystick is non-force feedback. Had the same issue with my non-FFB extreme 3D. uhhh, I actually re-read post and Ingolf says he has Extreme 3D Pro which is same as mine and is non-FFB. I was wondering about the Force 3D Pro if FFB would still work. Probably I chose the wrong thread. I'll try find a thread more appropriate.
