MrReynolds Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Hi. Just loaded BS up after a break to play the new campaigns and i've found a glitch (for my setup) that i've never had before. Rudder trim works, stick trim doesn't. Press trim reset, and the rudders go neutral...so it is working - of a sorts. The stick just doesn't ...."stick" in my trimmed mode, it goes back to it's centre, even when the rudders are held in place. Am I being a real dork and forgetting something? thanks for any help, and yes I did a quick search.
Distiler Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Patch 1.01 introduced a new trimmer logic by default. Options -> gameplay to change between old one (switch off, for force feedback joy) and the new one (swtich on, for non-ff joy). Perhaps this can help. 1 AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
MrReynolds Posted January 10, 2010 Author Posted January 10, 2010 Thank you and tried that. It's the old "well it worked the other day" kind of problem. The only change is that i've gone from an NV8800GTS to xfire 5700s. I think this setup SHOULDN'T affect this problem. (?) If I didn't lose one of my installs I would think about reinstalling.
Distiler Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 You don't loose activations or deactivations when you reinstall the game, only when you change hardware or operating system. AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
MrReynolds Posted January 10, 2010 Author Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) Cool, and thanks again! Edit: Mission complete. I noticed forcefeedback was set to on (I have a cougar). Unplugging my steering wheel has solved the problem. Weird as at one point I used the pedals for rudder and it was fine. Now to blast some tanks. Edited January 10, 2010 by MrReynolds
Distiler Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 You can also disable force feedback editing X:\DCS\Ka-50\Config\Producer.cfg line from true to false: ForceFeedbackEnabled = false; AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
MrReynolds Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 Again, thanks. That's where I found out about FF being enabled and made me think about the wheel!
Breakpain Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Again, thanks. That's where I found out about FF being enabled and made me think about the wheel! What wheel and what joystick do you use? I had same issue, I also have a wheel G27 - but it is not plugged in :-( .... Only thing tha is plugged is my joystick G940 /joy, pedals, trhottle/. And still it doesn´t work with FF on ... stick goes always to neutral position, even if I trimmed it on the other side ....
