355th_Xantris Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 If missile is fired at me in HOJ mode by for example an Su-27, when the Su passes burnthrough range and missile didn't hit yet, will it automaticily change from HOJ into normal homing mode ( leading pursuit)?
Nate--IRL-- Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Yes it will. Nate P.S. it will still track if the target is friendly too, you must manullay break lock on friendlys (bug? maybe) Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
169th_DedCat Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 However, according to the manual, if active jamming is discontinued prior to the intercept the missile will lose its track and self-destruct. It is not a bug if the missile tracks a friendly. Missiles will not detect an IFF squawk. It is up to the pilot to IFF.
