I had two small issues with my x52. The thumb slider was sticking a little as well as the cup on the stick. I whipped up a quick fix I thought I would pass on. First on the thumb slide. I used a very small amount of graphite powder to make it slide better. Quick and easy, you can pick it up for about $2 and most hardware stores. On the stick I used some alcohol to clean the bottom of the cup and the base. I then put a very thin layer of TechT Gun Sav on both the cup and the rim on the base. For those that don't know, TechT Gun Sav is a paintball marker lube. It is super lightweight so it wont ooz off when sitting. It is also very sticky in the sense that it sticks to plastic, metal, and rubber surfaces but has an extremely low friction coefficient. Figure this stuff is meant to be used in markers firing 900+ balls per min in extremely tight tolerances. One part sticks slightly and the marker will break a ball of fail to fire at all. So, supper slippery stuff. You can pick it up at their site (http://www.techtpaintball.com/gunsav.html) for $10. I've been using it for a few years on my paintball markers and it worked great on my stick too!

The biggest advantage of this is that it makes the stick move much more smoothly and function better. Which always means better flying. Enjoy!

They have in the past. I just called customer support and new pots where in my mail box a few days later. It's been a few years since I've needed to do that. In fact, I think it was my X36 I did that with. Has the customer support gone down that much?

White lithium grease here.

As far as the slide pot, I use DeOxit 5. But it's still an analog voltage reference converted via a D-A. There's a threshold between "steps".

IMHO, they should have gone for a lower value slide pot and adjusted the software paramaters accordingly.

That would mean more dev time and as a resault, cost more. Not a bad thing for us, but kinda screws there market are they are shooting for. I know people that picked up the X52 just to play Battlefield2 and use on the jets in it. A bit of overkill if you ask me.

Bit o' KY goes a long way!

That's a little to watery, for the joystick and it's "propper" use. WET works better in the latter department.

I am really happy with the Gun Sav. It's been flawless on mine.
