Using a second monitor for shkval possible yet?

Hi folks

 

I've been away for a while.

 

Is it possible yet to display the shkval on a second monitor while keeping the game running in full screen? I recall this was not possible before when the game initially released.

 

I have a Xenarc touch screen installed in a dashboard of switches, etc that came in real handy for LockOn using TouchBuddy. Is this possible today in Black Shark?

Yeah my shkval is on my second screen, just by creating a monitor config lua and changing options.lua.

 

Search on this, there's lots of posts.

 

Also I think I saw something on touchbuddy too.

There are nice TouchBuddy profiles over in the TB forums for both 2 monitor and 3 monitor setups. I think there are links in another thread in these forums, too.

 

The one downside, currently, with TB for DCS:BS is that the profiles are not synchronized with the status of switches, etc. in the sim. For instance, if you flip a switch in the clickable cockpit with your mouse (or use a keyboard command, etc.), the TB display will not reflect the change.

 

Due to this, TouchPal was developed (by Gadroc, IIRC) with synchronization built in, for use initially with DCS:BS. Keep in mind that it doesn't have a slick editing tool similar to what Snacko did for TB.

 

If you do some searching in these forums on TouchPal, and also on BSVP, you should see that some amazing things have been done by some talented people in the community.

 

Gadroc has indicated that he has more in the works, so that would probably be worth keeping an eye open for. :)
