I have the downloaded english version of FC ,and I can't fly above 10,000m ,but AI don't have any problems getting up to maxheight.

So my question is if the Lockon 2.0 or DCS will have the same restriction?:helpsmilie:

If I make 2 tracks side by side in editor I can't follow the AI plane from 9000m and up ,my plane loose power (with afterburners on) and come to a stall ,even in autopilot.

Yes ,they are exactly the same ,I did some more testing and the problem seem to be only for the F-15.

I tried with two Mig-29S ,the AI went up much steeper than me with no problems ,but I managed to climb much slower 10-15 degree up to 16000 and 5-10 degree up to 17500m.

I tried the same with F-15 ,but it stalled out at around 13000m ,and refused to gain speed even at level flight.

If I try to follow AI path ,the F-15 loose speed and stall before 10,000m

Edit;

I tried again ,and finally managed to climb higher ,but I needed to dive below 10000m to gain speed ,and then I tried climbing very slow (3-5 degrees) ,and i managed to climb very high ,64500 feet or above 19000m ,but i imagine it was like flying a U2 with very small speed/climb envelope ,all the way up ,from 11000m.

Is this realistic ,or will it change in 2.0?

The airplanes in lock-on are underpowered, that is going to be fix with the next patch; but the mig is the best climber, what is your initial speed before starting your climb, you need more speed the higher you go.

You can still go much higher, with the MiG or the Eagle. You just need to manage your energy better. First climb slowly on burners and accelerate your plane to max speed at 12 500/13 000m and then pull up to try and go ballistic :)

Here is screenshot of the highest I've been (27 000m), others may have been even higher.

The AI cheats and are usually able to out climb a player. Once you start losing speed you really can't get it back without leveling out/decreasing altitude a little bit. Don't be as aggressive with your climb, don't let your speed dip below a certain mark, and don't try to match the AI with everything you do, because you can't.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

When light on fuel you can reach well over 100,000 feet in the f-15. Even higher with the mig. Just don't rush it.

Thanks for answer ,I'm sure going to get the upgrade if it's getting fixed now.

Also; My initial speed was 700 at 9000m ,I made to paralell tracks with 2 planes with only 1 fueltank below ,and next waypoint about 90Km away at 18000m.

if you set 700 in the mission editor ,it's the ground speed ,and it is too low for the high alt. Go for full AB and accelerate your plane, until you got enough speed , then sightly go up...don't pitch too hard and it will cost you too much speed....
