Are you using the HUD slow speed drift indicator?

At low level the ground gives good visual feedback/reference.

Best thing is...more practice and trim!

Cheers.

1. Introduce curves and a deadzone in your joystick setup. The creates less sensitivity around the middle point to make delicate controls require bigger movements. Also a deadzone means that any "slop" in the center of your joystick doesn't give input.

2. Make everything simple, slow, and gentle. When flying forward and you want to transition to hover... very slow pull back on cyclic. Watch the ground speed on HUD bleed away. When approaching 0 km/s relax cyclic, maybe over 3 seconds (1-one thousand, 2-one thousand, 3-one thousand). Maybe your early hover transitions fly you 10 km before you stop, it's OK. Fast stops are hard.

3. Trim is nice to relax your arm and use the AP holds. Make sure your AP channels are on (HDG, PTCH, BNK). Once you have a steady "picture" and the cyclic is held in one place, press trim and relax pressure in your arm.

1. Read (the manual)

2. Watch (the training)

3. Practice (your skills)

4. Search (the forum)

5. GOTO step No 1 (once more!)
