When I start a mission I get graphic artifacts, then the game freezes then starts again, then same problem. I have adjusted the settings in the game and my card. Ive attached a screenie. Any help is appreciated.

 

CPU - I7-950, 3.07ghz

GPU - ATI 5870

Res - 1600x1200

That's strange. Looks just like the kind of artifacts you get when overclocking the video card too much.

You haven't attached a third party cooler to it and forgot or accidentally mis-attached some of the heat sinks?

at a glance i would concur with Boulund. have you clocked your gfx card? does this only affect LOMAC?

Graphics problem FIXED

 

at a glance i would concur with Boulund. have you clocked your gfx card? does this only affect LOMAC?

 

As a matter of fact I just found that it occurs in Catalyst Control Center on the Preview, and it did it while watching a streaming video. I did have my card overclocked. I set it back to normal and everything is running GREAT! Thank you all very much for the input.

No worries. You might want to look at getting a better gfx card cooler if you plan to overclock. They are about £15 or so, and can make a difference.
