EvilBivol-1 Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 toliet paper bug? must be accronym for shi+y Aim 120 still. Just russian fantasy coming through again. Thier game, thier rules... whatever. Loadout screen reminds me of falcon 4. Love the eye candy of lomac so far, hope it is as good or better in 2.0. voice-over reminds me of console games. What good is a US fighter if you cut its baIIs off anyway. dissapointing but i guess if I was russian like ED, I would do the same. Go red. (lol)Maybe you would, but that's not what we do. The video was made specifically to demonstrate that the simulation allows you to defeat a superior platform and weapon using tactics. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. The many locked threads concerning the 120 are the proof in the pudding so to speak. The dive tatic, please. Gravity is there to help the 120. its not like the mig even beamed to make the 120 have to turn. Not to mention the aprox 15nm where the shot was made head-on. Never mind. we dont need another thread on the inferrior modled superior 120. Lucas_From_Hell Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 No, the many locked threads concerning the 120 are proof that there's always an ignorant saying his side is undermodelled - when actually it isn't. Locked threads concerning the 120 were locked because they were always trolled by 1. MiG/Su pilot that says the Americans are overmodelled and Russians are undermodelled or 2. F-15 pilot that says Russians are overmodelled and Americans are undermodelled. There's a name for it, "whining". When both sides claim the other was favoured by the developers, it's probably because the developers actually got it right. And on that video, it's already known that a MiG-29 has the edge over the F-15C on close combat (or at least as far as we don't have AIM-9X modelled). Loved the Counter-Strike bit on the second kill :D
Pilotasso Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Oh, the toilet paper bug is still present :P 2:20+ grrrr thats a trademarked quote. :P .
Bucic Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 (edited) grrrr thats a trademarked quote. :P You think I should attach some sort of copyright disclaimer? :D I didn't come up with the name but I like it as much as the bug is annoying :) I won't miss the occasion to say that I myself am author of bug codename. Maybe not that creative but still ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az4yWKTFqvc Edited March 25, 2010 by Bucic F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close

Using the FBP in lomac, over 6 missions 2 F-15s vs 2 Mig-29s, Medium and Low alt, all expert AI, head on, far dist. (24 miles) I got these results Med alt 120 30% hit rate vs R-77 42% hit rate Low alt 120 14% vs R77 45% At very high alt both scored 100%. How can this be if the 120 and 77 use the same flight model? ECM capibilities? Anyway, I just hope that 2.0 is true to the attempt at simulation as best as can be done. Lucas_From_Hell Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Just check the threads and you'll see what I'm talking about. Anyway, Flaming Cliffs 2.0 corrected issues for both sides, so we should (in theory) see a decrease in those stupid threads about "cheater AIM-120", "super F-15" and co.
funkee Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 (edited) Locked threads concerning the 120 were locked because they were always trolled by (...) F-15 pilot that says Russians are overmodelled and Americans are undermodelled. Because they are. In FC1 I flyed both russian and US aircraft, and I know the AIM120 sucked compare to any russian missile. It failed even at perfect shots, while the AIM-9 always missed. Isn't this undermodelling? 100% agree with markriley on this issue, and I hope the things changed in FC 2.0. Don't know how can't you understand voice. IMHO it is not so bad... Simply I can't. This is easy with your perfect english, but not with mine :P And... ...it gets so screeching and distorted, it is very hard to understand  Even so, from a sound quality viewpoint, it is horrible. Please, remove "trainstation" effect  ...does anyone find the english voice very difficult to hear? It's because of that filter they have put on it to make it sound like radio comms. I don't get the point, this very complex stuff that you are trying to learn, it doesn't help having to strain your ears to catch what is being said. I would have prefered normal high quality mic and voice over. I dont remeber it being this bad with the BS training videos (although, those also could have done without the "radio com" filter imo). I guess I'll just have to use head phones. I know I'm not alone. The English voice in training clips is just a shame.
