I've just discovered that DOW campaign is "CO-OP READY" and that alone makes it interesting. Does anyone have any tracks or HD youtube vids I could watch to get a glimpse into DOW gameplay. How DOW gameplay compares to the original campaigns from ED?

Second - if anyone is looking a wingman for co-op campaign, just let me know :)

Me and a friend just played missions 1 & 2. Brilliant. Didn't manage Mission 2 with just the two of us so we're going restart the campaign with two more bods. Great stuff. Love the way it loads the next part automatically.

McVittees,

Glad you are enjoying the campaign. :D

Most missions are difficult at best with less than four, but can be done with three are all are very efficient.

As to how the missions loads the next, that has only been implemented for the first phase of the campaign (Intro, mission 1 and mission 2 with mission 00 also linked if you fail mission 1 or 2). :( Given the state of the DCS:BS ME, it isn't easy to set-up Win-Draw-Lose conditions.

We were working on linking the other missions, but got side tracked with trying to incorporate Flaming Cliffs 2.o into the missions. This works with some of the missions but not all. As such we just have a few that the AKA files together.

With A-10C about out, we may go back and try to integrate the two. Given the state of the DCS:BS ME, it isn't easy to set-up Win-Draw-Lose conditions. hopefully that will change with the release of A-10C and (hopefully) a patch to make Black Shark compatible with A-10C.

Again, glad you like it and feedback is always welcome. :pilotfly:

Bucic,

As I haven't played much of the original single player campaign, I can't say how the gameplay compares. I will say that there isn't a lot of radio chatter or other aircraft. A few missions have mixed forces, but for the most part you and your squad-mates are on your own.

The concept was to build a campaign that squads could fly together. The thought was that the "emerson" and "radio chatter" would be provided by the people flying the mission. The PDF file that was included in the download should give you a feel of the missions included.

Each mission can be flown by itself if one wishes.

I'm in the Pacific Standard time zone in the US (UTC - 8 ) , so I think we are pretty much out of sync with each other. :(

My only feedback so far is minor (because we've had so much fun getting mauled) and that would be the grouping of units: e.g. the groups consisting of (pretty much) multiple AAA/SAM units of the same type. I think it would be better if they were more mixed in with the other mechanized groups.

Waiting for the attack on Anapa is brilliant. Almost an 'Aliens' level of suspence waiting for the onslaught! Also, like the way there are no silly 'areas of death' that are defended by completely unrealisticly deployed weapon sytems just make the player fly the mission in a particular way (at least haven't found any yet).
