i know what the buttons are for and how to operate them. you can set your own navigation coordinates by putting them in the pvi800. if you wanted to go to a city you can use the abris to locate that city and find the Nav Coor. then put them in the pvi800 and fly there

Ah, I never described the process of editing PVI-800 points.

  1. Turn master mode knob to EDIT.
  2. Select task button (NAVTGT, WPT, etc)
  3. Select number point (1,2 ...9,0)
  4. Type in 13-digit coordinate
  5. Press enter
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for more points (include step 2 if changing task) or switch back to master mode OPER

WPT can be #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6

FIX PNT can be #1, #2, #3, #4

AIRFILED can be #1, #2

NAV TGT can be #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #0

From the other thread:

All coordinates are entered as 13-digit sequences (6 for the top line, 7 for the bottom).

Ex. N14°36'30'', W7°12'18''

+14°36'30'', -007°12'18''

+14°36.5', -007°12.3'

And would be entered as:0-1-4-3-6-5-1-0-0-7-1-2-3.
