26-J39 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Try this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=47579 Look at Frederf's post, very detailed explanation. :)
Bee_Sting Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 i know what the buttons are for and how to operate them. you can set your own navigation coordinates by putting them in the pvi800. if you wanted to go to a city you can use the abris to locate that city and find the Nav Coor. then put them in the pvi800 and fly there
Frederf Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Ah, I never described the process of editing PVI-800 points. Turn master mode knob to EDIT. Select task button (NAVTGT, WPT, etc) Select number point (1,2 ...9,0) Type in 13-digit coordinate Press enter Repeat steps 3-5 for more points (include step 2 if changing task) or switch back to master mode OPER WPT can be #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 FIX PNT can be #1, #2, #3, #4 AIRFILED can be #1, #2 NAV TGT can be #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #0
Bee_Sting Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) ok! cool! i heard that you have to press 0 or the button in the middle of the enter and cancel buttons 2 times.how would i input the 13 numbers in the pvi800 Edited March 11, 2010 by Bee_Sting
Frederf Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 From the other thread: All coordinates are entered as 13-digit sequences (6 for the top line, 7 for the bottom). Ex. N14°36'30'', W7°12'18'' +14°36'30'', -007°12'18'' +14°36.5', -007°12.3' And would be entered as:0-1-4-3-6-5-1-0-0-7-1-2-3.
