btw its a fresh install with newest patch, went straight into lua files to setup my monitors, it had been a while since I had re-installed the game, also have tried deleting all option.lua files and anything else that I had fooled with to load the game up with fresh settings unmodified still same result.

Could you post a screenshot of your cockpit?

AFAIK that texture setting is the only thing that affects the detail of the cockpit (except for the frame resolution settings that affect the look of the Shkval and ABRIS).

The full size image is what it looks like in game, there may be other issues it seems as if the game looks worse than what I remember.

Could you supply a DxDiag output file? Instructions here if needed: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=44466

I think you are having some kind of driver problem, or DirectX having done something very wrong during an update, or possibly memory issues. The quick and complete overview offered by a DxDiag would help discern if this is indeed a possibility.

What video card are you using? That would help allot. & driver version.

Drivers -> set texture filtering to high setting

I have found the solution to my problem, after fooling with the game and DirectX for quite some time. I did not assume I had any issues with my drivers since all other games have ran fine. But after a thorough cleanup of all ATI files and a fresh install of 10.2 all is clear.
