DEWorley Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 i've just installed Flaming Cliffs 2 over a new Lock-On install & my Track IR doesn't work in FC2. It works fine in Rise of Flight, ArmA2 & every other game i've tried. i looked for the 2 TrackIR files which needed to be deleted in FC1 to get TrackIR to work but can't find them in FC2. Any ideas?
Phoenix FR Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Track IR must run with the same permission as the game, if you run Vista/Seven If track IR is executed as administrator, then execute FC2 as administrator. I had the problem. My track IR soft run as administrator because Rise of Flight need that setup. Once i ran FC2 as administrator, it works fine. Execpt for the Z axis, but other people have the problem.
DEWorley Posted March 27, 2010 Author Posted March 27, 2010 phoenix, thanks that seems to have fixed it.
OGREMAN Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 TrackIR REFUSES TO WORK in FC2.0 My TracIR 4 is stubbornly refusing to operate in Flaming Cliffs 2.0. The software is definately working properly for the TrackIR so I can only think there is some setting I am missing in the FC2.0 software. If you have solved this problem I would love to know about how. I read that both programms must be operating from administrator but on my PC running winXP home, there is only one user account ie the green dude and that user account has admin privilages. Pizzicato Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Execpt for the Z axis, but other people have the problem. I'm having this problem with a TrackIR 5, too. Is there any news on a workaround? I can't seem to find any other reference to this problem. i7-7700K @ 4.9Ghz | 16Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | MSI Z270 Gaming M7 | MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X | Win 10 Home | Thrustmaster Warthog | MFG Crosswind pedals | Oculus Rift S

Clear this assignment and Add the TrackIR Z-Axis assignment to the Zoom View. OS-Win8 64bit; MB-ASRock P43DE3; CPU-Q9650; MEM-G.SKILL 8GB DDR3; VIDEO-ATI HD5850

coolts Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 How do you do this? the default zoom controls, (/ and *), on the numpad, dont have a trackIR slot next to them to assign an axis to. Assigning an axis in the "axis" section doesnt Do the trick compared to presing the keys. Mugenjin Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 It's under "Axis Commands". Coloumn "TrackIR", line "TrackIR Absolute Longitude Shift Camera View" respectively "Zoom View". Just choose for "Zoom View" "TrackIR_Z". Oh and did you activate the Z axis in the TrackIR Software? Remember that FC 2.0 loads the Black Shark profile as of now.
coolts Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) Yeah. I've done all that. Changing from, "TrackIR Absolute Longitude Shift Camera View" to "Zoom View" made no difference. If it works on yours in that exact way, then it must be something daft i am doing. I will have a look tonight. ( I dont use the BS profile, I have set up my own. All axis working fine) Edited March 29, 2010 by coolts [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] i7 9700k | 32gb DDR4 | Geforce 2080ti | TrackIR 5 | Rift S | HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO Pedals
Mugenjin Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 What i meant was that TIR currently detects FC 2.0 as Black Shark and loads the profile you've assigned for BS.

Select the axis you want to fix. Click at the "Axis Tune" button at the right bottom. Move the Curvature slider to the left. The more to the left the more aggresive and responsive that axis will be. Robin_Hood Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Be careful also that you are assigning the axis to the right aircraft, since different control profiles are used now. By the way, I think I remember that in Blackshark it was possible to have both Longitudinal AND Zoom at the same time assigned to the axis ? Isn't it possible anymore ? 2nd French Fighter Squadron

The more to the left the more aggresive and responsive that axis will be. axis is fine in the "axis tune" screen. I even made the trackIR Z axis profile more agressive. It goes from max to min in the "axis tune" screen with only a small movement of my head, but in the game it moves about an 2cm both ways. I have tried assigning the trackIR z axis to zoom and longtitudinal....thing. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] i7 9700k | 32gb DDR4 | Geforce 2080ti | TrackIR 5 | Rift S | HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO Pedals
