redeagleGER Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Hi In the cockpit the flare/chaff/SPO/Gear ... sound is realy weak, doesnt matter how i set "headphones" in the options. There is a file called sound.lua (config folder) but the values doesent seem to be connected to the ingame options, are they? Can i pump up the mechanical sounds like previous? Griffin Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I'd also like to know this. The in cockpit sound is way too low even for a pressurized cockpit. The headphones slider only affects radio volume. It's like flying gliders with guns.
Frostie Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 You could try lowering all the volumes except 'main' to a medium level and then increase 'world', this should increase the volume of Gear, Flaps etc. but only if you increase your system volume. McDaniel Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I also would love to have a little more juice in those cockpit sounds...:smilewink: I tried with the settings but no joy I know it simulates the headphones, but here I am for less realistic :music_whistling: McDan out |AMD 7800x3D | 64GB DDR5-3600| GTX 4090 | Virpil Stick, Collectiv, WW MIP, WW Throttle, MFG Crosswind V2 | Windows 11 64-bit | SSD Samsung | 4K LG Oled 48 | Oculus Q3 | Simlab based Cockpit
golfsierra2 Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 The MiG-29S spooling up sounds like an arcade space ship - ugly sound ... Like to have my old from FC 1.1 back. The sound files (ogg) are exactly the same, but the pitch emulation simulating the spool-up is crap. In-flight it is OK, except that all cockpit sounds are way too weak. kind regards, Raven.... theGozr Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 It's like flying gliders with guns. Because do you thing that in a glider it's quiet ? :) Fly it like you stole it..
Griffin Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Because do you thing that in a glider it's quiet ? :) Sorry, even a glider is louder! Never been in one but I've seen videos with the sound of wind and the BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP noise. :)
