VTJS17_Fire Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Hi, yesterday in our first online-training, i saw two types of HUD ladders in my F-15 HUD. The first ladder looks like the FC 1.12 scale (500/100), but the other ladder is a different with a 100/20 feet indication. Bug or feature? If this is a feature, how can i activate or switch between this two types? I tried all known functions (radar, HUD-modes), but nothing happened. 500/100 feet scale: 100/20 feet scale: Beside this one round with the other ladder, i never saw it again. VTJS17_Fire Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 First, as i saw the two pictures i thought that too. But i test it again and: no, the IAS isn't the cause. ZaltysZ Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 HUD modes are different in pictures. :) Wir sehen uns in Walhalla.
VTJS17_Fire Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 As i wrote, i testet all the stuff i know (radar modes, HUD-modes), but i don't saw this scale again. FBW Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 400 Knots, Eight degree nose up. IN the first picture, you are climbing Way faster than you are in the second picture. It would be meaningless to use 100 ft scale if your aircraft is climbing at 10000ft/min. try to alternate Climb Rate and see what happens.
