volk-19 Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 (edited) Some of the skins for su-27 and mig-29 are not that nice (detailed) as those in quick start missions. It feels like scenes and textures are set to low, when in reality everything set to high. Is it just me, or enybody else have this. Edited March 31, 2010 by volk-19
Kuky Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I think when you create a mission it will use settings that you had selected at that time, meaning if you have sceenes on LOW and you create a mission, the mission will have sceenes on LOW also. volk-19 Posted March 31, 2010 Author Posted March 31, 2010 (edited) I created another mission and had setting on high, same thing. The skins look like in original lock on, only two su27 skins are detailed, new. I also noticed something weird with berioza. It doesn’t see (hear) that I’m being locked. The enemy lunched two R27ER at me (not ET), berioza did not even light up, no sounds, no beeps, nothing. I had English version of LO and FC, but I bought Russian version of FC2 (expediently:doh:), not shore if this have to do anything with it. Edited March 31, 2010 by volk-19
Kuky Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 ah, you're talking about aircraft skins... well they are same ireganrles of mission settings. For best quality of textures you set texture quality to highest in game and graphics driver and use some Anisotropic Filetring. About the ER's hitting you without warning, could they have been fired on you while you had ECM on? volk-19 Posted March 31, 2010 Author Posted March 31, 2010 I did not use ECM. They shoot at me without even locking me. At list berioza doesn't see it.

If the bandit used boresight mode you will not get a lock tone. Just my guess. It like that in Falcon, not sure how it is in FC. Distiler Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Perhaps you need to tweak graphics thourgh driver options (ati or nvidia). Even if you set in-game options to high, if driver options are not set to high, you'll get poor quality. Nate--IRL-- Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I have a suspicion that some mission files are over-riding the options settings, regardless of the "Use these settings in all missions" setting. I have flown a few missions where I can't seem to turn off labels, no matter what I set in the options. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading

Nate If you don't have the "use those options for all missions" checked in options, it might happen, I'm not sure. If you check inside .miz files you can see an options file with graphics settings and if setglobals=off (only happen when you save the mission in the editor with the global options unchecked, some kind of editor mission locking) then it takes into account options in .miz file. Not sure 100%. AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
