Hello guys,

I want to buy FC2, but I also have Black Shark. How do I merge those 2 installations?

I've looking for a stiky thread that could clear these installation problems, but I did not find any.

Also, all I need to install FC2 is Lock on? I have the CD version from when it came out a looong time ago. Will that suffice?

Thanks for any help.

You can't merge them. These are two standalone applications. You need to execute the right one depended on what you choose to fly.

They will be soon compatible over multiplayer - patch for BS is to be released soon.

You only need legacy LOMAC 1.0 (not Flaming Cliffs) to install FC2. It is important that you install FC2 in other folder then LOCKON (since FC2 is a standalone expansion and only requires LOCKON for checking you own the original game). After installing FC2 you are free to uninstall old LOMAC.

Hi dok, you don't have to merge FC2 with BS. FC2 is a stand alone add-on to LOMAC. There will be a patch coming out soon which will make it possible to fly BS and FC2 in MP.

Your old LOMAC disk is all you need to install FC2. Install it first no need to patch to 1.02 either then install FC2. You can even uninstall LOMAC once FC2 is up and running.

Doh too slow.

Gosh thanks a trillion for the uber quick replies.

Didn't know about this other patch that would make FC2 and BS compatible. I thought they were already interchangeable.

Thanks again for the gentle replies, guys.

yes, although its described as an update to an addon (FC) to LOMAC, its really a completely stand-alone product. I'm not even sure why they need to verify you have LOMAC at all since it doesn't need or use LOMAC. as was said, once you get FC2 installed you can just remove LOMAC and just have BS and FC2 installed, each in their own directory. they're supposed to be online compatible, but I think this is going to require a patch which ED said is incoming.

I think it has something to do with a licencing agreement with Ubisoft which is still in place.
