I've been following that technology for a few years now - at $6500.00 a pop - probably not so cost effective. I could see a better use of the money in a home-grown projector set-up-IMHO

i personally hate the pricing hit early adopters take. i will eat my shoe if these monitors do not become common consumer products at 1k a pop in the next 2 years as competitors come on board. look at touch screen ... prices are adapting very quickly. these markets would evolve so much faster if they would price for penetration and raise the price as the bells and whistles flesh out. what these guys are doing at 6,500 is price skimming - hoping to capture as much $$ as possible with the knowledge that lower cost competitors are on the way... soon.

 

very cool tech - not worth 6.5k though. wait a tad - that $$ figure convinces me they know their tech is not going to be unique very long.
