FC2 Wont Begin Install?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anybody can lend a hand here. I recently downloaded FC2 and when I try to start the install I get an error message imediately saying 'lockon 1.1 not found, installation interupted'. ?? which is strange as I have FC 1.1 installed already and have been using it for months now and have verified it is 1.1 at the lock on start up screen. My lockon FC 1.1 is not installed in my C hard drive though but in my D hard drive. I wouldnt have thought it matters. Any advise? :noexpression:

Close but not close enough. By reinstalling lockon + Flamming Cliffs I have now been able to install FC2, however, the game loads and I can hear the sound of the menu but I cant actually see the game interface..? So I updated my Video card drivers but it didnt actaully make much of difference. What Do u think I should try now?

Anyway, if you're on Vista or W7, install outside /program files and run setup.exe as an administrator.

Try changing the Screen resolutin here: "C:\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\BlackShark\data\scripts\options.lua"

 

Near the Bottom you should see this:

i have a gtx 275 not OC'd or anything. What do u mean install outside/ program files?

I mean, if you have Vista or W7 don't install FC2 in "/program files" folder, it has some security features that are no friends ofmany games and programs. Neither install it over LO or LO:FC1, just use another folder.
