Lightning Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 As the title says i was wondering, why it is not possible to take the tripple loadout for D Variant while it is possible to put 3x AGM-65K under each wing. I thought the K Variant is even heavier than the D ( infrared ) because it has a bigger warhead. As far as i know the size of both types of AGM-65 are the same. Can anyone tell the reason for that ? Is it possible to override that setup ? There was a tool in Lock On that enabled individual loadouts ( LOPE = Lock On Pylon Editor ) . Is it compatible to FC 2 ? best regards, GSG_9_LIGHTNING [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SFJackBauer Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Actually the question must be: Why allow loading 3 K on stations 3 and 9 if only one is allowed in real loadouts? Digging through forum archives: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=97461&postcount=26 From what I know its a mix of weight, drag, and safety risks related to the landing gear, to limit Mavs to two per pylon in case of 65Ds, or one in case of 65Ks.
Mugenjin Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 LOPE doesn't work since there is no meinit.xml anymore in FC2.0/DCS
Lightning Posted April 3, 2010 Author Posted April 3, 2010 Wags, can you please clear things up here ? best regards, GSG_9_LIGHTNING [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ED Team Wags Posted April 3, 2010 ED Team Posted April 3, 2010 (edited) Three AGM-65D on a LAU-88 can be done reality, but it most often not due to weight. I have asked the team to add a 3xAGM-65D option, but no promises. Given we don't have AGM-65H in Lock On, we allowed the AGM-65K to be loaded three to an LAU-88. This was a gameplay concession. If the mission designer wishes, they of course can only put a single K per station. I think all of the default MP A-10 loads only allow a single K. I believe all of the A-10A camp missions are two Ds on 3 and 9. In A-10C you'll get D, G, H, and K. evilnate Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 On this note, I hope there will be more variety as far as preset load outs that can be loaded via Ground Service Maintenance requests.
