Campaign Views

Don't know if this is a bug or intentional, but I'm having a problem flying campaign missions. I've set up my views to have a different FOV and a different view angle limit. But when I try to fly the 2nd mission of the Revanche <sp?> campaign, the view reverts back to default. I've got the "keep these settings for all missions" checked in the options, but it still gives me the default FOV and angle limits. I've searched the forums, but found nothing.

 

Am I missing something?

If you open the .miz file you'll see that this mission in particular has a bunch of folders and files, for example server.lua file in it so you custom view won't work. Don't know why this one has those folders, perhaps it has an introductory track. The options you keep if you have checked "keep these settings for all missions" are not those you mention, because those are really tweaks, not gameplay options. You can try to change the server.lua inside the .miz, or even delete it. Don't know that kind of missions, never seen anyone equal.

Thanks, I try replacing the server.lua with my modded one and see what happens.

Okay, I'm just stupid, but I can't find these folders for this mission. I've found the MIZ files, but that's it. When I open it in the editor, I can't find anything unusual, or where to replace the server.lua. Where am I looking again?

The .miz file is really a zip file, open it with winzip, winrar, etc. and you'll see :)

Edit .lua files only with Notepad++, not regular notepad. It's free download.

I've been using "Programmer's Notepad" and it seems to be working okay so far. I'll try and insert my server.lua file into the zipped MIZ file when I get home from work at see what happens.

 

This has been keeping me from continuing that campaign and it's driving me crazy.
