galagamo Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Using FC2.0:smilewink: After I had all of my settings the way I like, I noticed the bird strikes slider, so I set it to what I thought was a moderate 250. This is my very first flight in 2.0, SU-25T Ramp start and NAV mission, I saved the trk. I thought for sure, I would be a flaming heap at the end of the runway:huh: BTW, the nose wheel turns when the rudder is trimmed, I guess that's how it is IRL as well, can anyone confirm? 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] OS:WIN7 HP X64|MOBO:ASRock Z68|CPU:I52500k@4Ghz|RAM:12Gb 3x4Gb GSkill Ripjaws 9-9-9-24 @1600Mhz|GPU:ASUS GTX580|HDD:2x128Gb Crucial sataIII SSD raid0|PSU:Antek 1000watt|Case:Antek 1200|Peripherals: TMWH|Saitek ProFlight rudder pedals|TrackIr4
h00t74 Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Nice Vid, Could you actually see the bird coming at you from inside the pit? I did not notice.. To my knowledge, Brakes and rudder are seperate controls on an aircraft IRL. Press the tops of the rudder pedals for wheel brakes
galagamo Posted April 6, 2010 Author Posted April 6, 2010 Nice Vid, Could you actually see the bird coming at you from inside the pit? I did not notice.. Thanks, and no, there are no birds, just catastrophic engine failure to simulate a bird strike. I believe the rudder, and nose wheel, are supposed to be independent of each other, correct? However when you trim the rudder the nose wheel will follow suit, and that's not good, unless it's accurate. I'm for 100% accuracy even if it's bad engineering. Grimes Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I donno if its real but its part of the game. Rudder is how you turn on the taxiway so it makes sense that a little trim will have the same impact on the wheel. Still wish their was a "Birds! Birds! Birds!" audio cue to let you know it was a birdstrike that crippled your engines. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Bucic Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Finally a decent not crippled with music vid!!! You don't need to HTFU. You're spot on! ;) F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close

Mutilate - much better word than cripple. I'll remember that :) As for HTFU :music_whistling: HTFU :D F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close
