Antartis Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Hello. I decided to learn to make 3D, I know it's difficult and time consuming, but as the saying goes "better late than never". I want to know what programs it wants to DCS? I read that wants 3d max 7 or 8. The autodesk 3d max 2010 design does not? 59th_Krieger Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Hi, First: sorry for my english:noexpression: The created modells just put with 3dsmax ED plugin to FC. This plugin just working on 3dsmax 8, so you can create your modell in version 2010, but you must export / import this to earlier version. After export your modell in ver.8 can animate and use in the game. We are waiting the new plugin to 3dsmax2010, perhaps it comming out when the fc2.0 release on DVD, but i just heard from this opportunity and this not a fact. I hope to answer your questions. Regards, Krieger
OldCrow Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Just shooting in here, the tools works for both 3dsmax 7 and 8. And as Krieger sayes, you can make most of the model in another version of 3dsmax, or even another 3d application (blender etc). But for animations and mapping, you have to use 7 or 8. (Alittle unsure if you can do the mapping in 10 and import to 7/8. most safe would be to do the mapping in 7 or 8 ) [sIGPIC]http://www.virtualredarrows.com/member_sigs/vra2012_crow.png[/sIGPIC]
joey45 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 look in my sig for the thread I made on 3D stuff.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
