One click track replay with labels and externals enabled

Well, the easiest solution would be, to make an additional .bat file to be used as a game launcher. You'd launch the game by starting it instead of the default shortcut. This way, export.lua could be restored just before game launch, instead of waiting for the track to play and then hit a key. I could adapt the script if you'd like it this way...

Great idea's Fahhh and Breakshot!

I had thought a bit about implementing the same, but decided against it because the batch script doesn't wait for simulator.exe to end. Fahhh's pause option will work, but instead I just made two batch files that either copy the stock export.lua to export.lua or copy the tacview enabled export.lua to export.lua. Using shortcuts to these files on the desktop I can switch between configurations easily at anytime.

Check the top post in this thread!

I have adapted the replay.bat script to make it remove the config/export/config.lua script in case it was added to the mission. If this file is not removed then Tacview would not work, because if this mission provided file does not allow exports, Tacview will not receive data.

For those already using the one click replay batch script, change the replay.bat file so it contains the following lines:

@start /d "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\replay" zip -d %1 Config/Export/Config.lua
@start /d "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\replay" zip %1 options
@start /d "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2" bin\x86\stable\simulator.exe --nopause %1

Here the change is the zip -d %1 Config/Export/Config.lua, which removes the file from the track.

Note 1: make sure to adapt the path to LockOn as before.

Note 2: make sure to have the zip -d line as the first line, otherwise the script will fail (control is handed to simulator.exe before the config.lua file is removed).

Can you answer these questions for me?

  1. Did you extract the replay.rar file in the LockOn root?
  2. Did you change the path in replay.bat to the correct location?
  3. Did you assign the *.trk extension to replay.bat?

If the answer to any of these is "no", or "I don't know", then please explain what you did do.

So what exactly is not working with the replay script? Does it launch up FC and replay a track?

Remember that in order to get an ACMI you will have to enable Tacview in the export.lua script to get it. If you enabled Tacview now then you will not be able to join MP servers that integrity check a stock export.lua.

Here's two batch scripts that will allow you to easily switch back and forth between the stock export.lua and the one enabling tacview: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=906191&postcount=27. You can make shortcuts to your desktop.

It is part of the zip file linked in the post above.

Yes and no.

This mod does not create ACMI's. All it does is provide an easy way to replay tracks. To obtain an ACMI of a recorded flight, you will have to replay the track AND ensure that you have Tacview recordings enabled.

thanks. is there any way to not watch a whole track and have it create an ACMI? because watching like 5 hours of replays....then watching on tacview is going to be ****ing retarded.

Yes, but only if a TacView is generated while you fly - which of course is banned on most servers. Also, the TacView generated on the replay isn't accurate to what occurred during the flight, and this inaccuracy gets worse if you accelerate track replay. This problem isn't the fault of TacView though, it is the track replay itself that provides an inaccurate rendition of events.

Does this replay concept work with DCS?
Yes, it does. Make a copy of the script and change the path to the DCS executable. You'd have to select the DCS replay for DCS tracks and the FC replay for FC tracks.

I dont have the "simulator.exe" file in my "DCS A-10C\Bin\x86" directory. (?)

I also use win7 x64 . This has some relevance?

Thanxs in advance. :joystick:

Edit the batch file and change "simulator.exe" to "DCS.exe".
