Hi community! I'm new to Lock On and a very kind moderator told me to come here and find modman 7.2 to enhance my fun with Lock on with Mods. However, due to my complete lack of knowledge about computers and maybe a little lazyness, I would like to ask you (the community) to tell me which mods I should get and where the heck do I find modman 7.2!(I actually tried looking!) Also, what folder should I download it in/ do I need backups for anything? Sorry its a lot but I have no clue, Thanks!

Extra question!- Is there any flight stick or hardware that would be good for this game? I use a Saitek AV8R-02 for the Xbox and PC and it has, like, 5 buttons on it(not good!) I was looking at the Saitek X52, it looks good. THANKS!(you dont have to answer this, just asking)

I use the x52 myself currently, and is very happy with it. However, the software that comes with it and the related drivers can be a bit... um... finicky, so the "first evening" with it can be a big frustration. Once you have it set up it's very good though.

Sorry for not getting you a direct link to modman earlier: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=51825

That's the latest version.

Another handy tool is something called Tacview - it records your flight and lets you analyse the flight afterwards to see what went wrong or right:

This latter one does require you do to some very small edits to a file called export.lua, which is where I would recommend Notepad++:

ModMan itself will come down as an installer that you install and run as a separate program - no need to worry about where you place it. The advantage of Modman is that it automatically makes backups for you and allows you to swap mods around without editing any configuration files yourself.

Once you have it up and running, register at lockonfiles.com and you should be able to find a few mods (like more new textures for aircraft, aircraft models, effects and so on) that might be your liking - just remember to check whether they are FC2-compatible, since not all mods made for FC1.12 work out-of-the-box with FC2. My own suggestion would be the SIMMOD A10A and the Gyz F15 model.

If you need more directions on any of that, fire away some more questions and I'll try to get them answered for you. :)
