In automatic weapons control you just need a ready to fire "C" indication which is pretty much master arm on and inside of X range. Manual weapons control does away with the range limitation.

I would set trigger to cannon+weapons release (LUA edit so one button does both tasks).

Hat up top to Shkval

The thumb button probably trim considering how often you press it.

The four up top should be designate, AP route, and some others.

If you can get one of the bottom buttons to be a "shift" you can nearly double the number of buttons available. Look up Logitech's site for a profile/driver software package.

I would put the "Lock" button on the bottom 6 somewhere as you're going to want to move the Shkval (hat) while pressing it and that's hard for one hand.

Yeah I'll add again those aren't exactly the buttons I have set on my HOTAS but just ideas. My lock button is on my collective for instance. Set up whatever works for what I listed is just for reference or what may be useful. No one set up works for everyone, I know many virtual pilots who program multiple profiles for there sticks/HOTAS but I have enough custom switch panels that I don't have to. Everything else I use the keyboard or mouse (clickable pits rule no click pits drool.....)!

I got the 3D Pro, the top four buttons I programmed as Designate, Lock, Trim and Autohover. Hat switch for looking around, and while pressing shift I can slew the skhval with the coolie hat. Since I'm left-handed I don't use the thumb-button.

Question for lefties, do you fly lefthanded or did you learn to fly as it's supposed to be ?

Logitech 3D profile

Extract .zip and you'll have v2.lua profile. Save your profile first, then load mine.

Button 7 and 8 are modifiers (like shift, ctrl or alt on keyboard). That's 30 usable keys on 3D now. I haven't programmed it all yet.

I recommend you to print key commands .pdf file and then write commands from profile I gave you. It would be clearer what logic I used and would be easier to use it.

I tried to mimic:

cyclic and autopilot without using modifiers keys- most used commands for me;

collective with use of Button 7 as modifier;

targeting MCP with Button 8.

There are few exceptions as always would be :)

Note that <Tab> (<Button 10> on joy) was used as key for activating VR Commander for voice commands.

Be patient, study profile, try it, mod it for your pleasure and use it :)
