rodders Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Hi all, Now im getting used to flying around, I did a few stall turns, got carried away and flipped over upside down then over torqued the rotor. The EEG shut down the engines and the heli was just shaking like crazy. Tried to start an engine back up, but couldnt due to the shaking situation I was in. How do you recover from this? I tried various blade angles and nose angles, but to no avail? Just wondered, but I will try not to do it again, lol!
MTFDarkEagle Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Its not overtorque you suffered from, you had a blade collision. You had a minor one, because you could still fly, which means a part of one of the blades is cut off. This causes the shaking. I however do not know why your engine shut down. ** a trackfile would be helpfull ;-)** Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
AlphaOneSix Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Engines get shut down for a rotor overspeed, which the rotors do quite quickly when they are suddenly half their original length.
rodders Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 Ahhh, thats it then, I thought they looked a bit shorter, oops. Cheers :D
