Noshadow Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 After installing the 1.02 patch for BlackShark I do not hear any sounds at all in the simulator. I hear sounds and music just fine in the launcher. I could hear everything just fine in 1.0, and 1.01c. I first installed the 1.02 patch over 1.01c, but when I had no sound I fully uninstalled BlackShark and made a fresh install to 1.0. I then applied the 1.02 patch directly to the fresh install and still have no sound in the sim. I have made no modifications or alterations to the game, I can fly around and everything else is just fine. 71st_Mastiff Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 in the option GUI look at the sound bars theres a new one called head phones turn that to half, those are not the head phones you are wearing there the head phones your avatar pilot is wearing. After installing the 1.02 patch for BlackShark I do not hear any sounds at all in the simulator. Noshadow Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 I just tried setting that volume slider all the way down, in the middle, and all the way up. It didn't make any difference, I still couldn't hear anything in the sim. I also played around with all of the volume sliders a few times and still nothing in the sim. They work fine controlling the GUI/Music volumes in the launcher.
71st_Mastiff Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I would venture to say you have on board sound if so try setting the play back feature from 24bit 44100 or if its 4800 switch the 2. Noshadow Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 Aha! It wasn't what you suggested, but you pointed me in the right direction. By disabling "Signal Enhancements" on my audio device I can now hear sound in the sim. :) Thanks for helping and pointing me in the right direction, Mastiff.
ED Team c0ff Posted May 15, 2010 ED Team Posted May 15, 2010 (edited) Hmm, the bug (from FC2) was supposed to be fixed in 1.0.2. Post you Temp/Error.log, please (lines marked with SOUND: are of the interest) Better late than never ;) P.S. it's interesting what they mean under "signal enhancements" Edited May 15, 2010 by c0ff late Dmitry S. Attached is my "Error.log" with "Signal Enhancements" enabled and sound not working in the sim. It should be noted that I do not experience this problem with any other game or application.Error.log.txt Edited May 15, 2010 by Noshadow
71st_Mastiff Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 its away for the sound chip to determine which device and where its plugged in on the board front audio or back 5.1 or 2.1? i.e. exct. exct.
