Hi from Brisbane, Australia, sorry I cannot recall that game. My first ever computer was the Commodore 64 (with the 1st floppy drive, very modern as my mate only had the tape drive LOL) anyways yeah your right, always loved the Microprose Apache. You ever play it?

Cheers:thumbup:

My dream sim, that would be one of two things, both would be career based even on multiplayer, first would be a naval aviator simulation, complete with proper deckhandling and comms. the second would be a naval sim, you start with one of a number of specialties (ASW warfare surface warfare, sensor or the like, and then choose your platform type (but not the platform) learn to master systems and get promoted see if you could end up as a TG commander (You'd need the previous game to earn TF commander)

3D Helicopter Simulator wa truely 3D with buildings, a working draw bridge, a moving cargo ship, and head to head combat with the CPU or another player (over modem long distance charges apply) It had several veiws and was extremely advanced back in its day in concept and controls (just check out the manual on the sight).

I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original.

I remember driving somewhere back in the 80s with a friend just after I got Falcon 2 (or was it Falcon 1.5?), which might have been one of the first games to have some kind of campaign that made you feel like you were fighting a war rather than just flying off repeatedly to kill the same targets (as in Falcon 1).

And during that drive we talked about how in the future he might be flying a F-16 covering me while I was in my Apache and having another friend coming in behind in another copter landing troops. And we covered all the possibilities during that drive, in-flight refueling for truly long missions and then other friends trying to attack us.

Well, it has pretty much all come true or very close to it. Having all the tools here for us now is just great ... just got to remember all the keys and trying to juggle a full-time job with my hobby can be difficult though.
