shackman Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 IS the AI in FC 2 smarter than in LOMAC and FC 1.1 or 1.2? I mean in LOMAC your wingman would get shot down after just one missile hit, and there you would be w/ 8 missiles twice as many targets. But they will help in BVR combat and Dogfights right? So they aren't always just average they can be higher skilled AI I hope? [sIGPIC]http://www.vrsimulations.com/images/sigbanners/vrs_supporter.png[/sIGPIC]
Exorcet Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 To use the AI wingmen effectively, you have to issue orders. It can take a while to learn, and with AWACS, chatter, it can be slow, but using wingmen correctly is a huge help. What I like to do is split my wing into two and go pincer, it divides opposing flights, so you don't have hordes of missiles coming after you. That's great to hear that you can split the flight so a pair can take some targets and you and your wingman can take others. Question though are the controls for issuing commands the same as in LOMAC? Or have they been changed? [sIGPIC]http://www.vrsimulations.com/images/sigbanners/vrs_supporter.png[/sIGPIC]
