Mission Brief and Visual Identification. Learn to recognise and visually ID units via Shkval. If you are not 110% sure, do not prosecute.

I seen some vehicles on the shkval but didn't if they were friendly or not.I don't know what you mean by learn to recognise and visually id via shkval.

..you need to be able to tell what a vehicle is by looking at it .... then , depending on the mission, you need to know if that type of vehicle is friendly or not (depends on coalitions).

So,

If you are flying a Turkish KA50, and see a russian T72 tank (you know it's a T72 because you can recognise the shape of the tank), are Russia the bad guys?..ok then shoot it..

Alternatively, to begin with, you can turn ON labels (shift - f10) ...this will not work on online missions though unless the server allows for labels (probably not)

But how can you visualy distinguish the ID of a Georgian BMP-2 from a Russian one during a battle?

I think you would find that the majority of Missions/Mission-Builders are wise enough to take that very fact into account when creating missions. As such, you should not come across that particular scenario. If you do, well then, as I said - If unsure, do not engage. If said scenario is incorporated into the mission for whatever reason, your briefing should designate your particular Kill-Zone. Adhere to the brief and you should be fine.

If you're still unsure and itchin' for a fight and on the proviso that you've had all your Oats porridge for breakfast and feeling particularly strong, well then by all means saunter on close and if you draw his fire, you have your answer ;)
