My buddy was in his office speaking on msn to me when the quake hit canada yesterday, he said it felt weird as shit, his words :)

I dunno about it being felt in NYC as he said that he could Barely feel it and that was way up in Canada, so I think its unlikely it was felt in NYC.

Although it seems like we have more earthquakes than before, it's actually pretty consistent with previous years. The only thing that is increasing is the media attention so everyone is at a frenzy and brings up 2012 and all that end-of-the-world hype.

dont look to normal to me the freakoid weather systems, and insane quakes happening all over.

question is whats triggering all this?

What freakoid weather systems? As SuperKungFu just said, and as I have also read, the current rate of earthquake occurrence is the same as in years past, it's just that it's getting more media attention. Have you seen any data to suggest that storms and floods in France are above the average? Lots of people from all over the world die in flash floods and storms every year.

Yea my initial reaction was "OMG WTH is up with all these earthquakes!?!" but if you look at the data and scientific evidence, they will tell you everything is normal. We had roughly the same amount of earthquakes as last year, and the year before that...etc. They are just being reported more due to the 2-3 strong ones we had earlier this year that hit populate areas.

But if you want another answer that reinforces the paranoid theory: some people say that the reason why 2012 marks the end of the world is because the planets in the solar system lines up and that screws with the gravity. BUT, they already check and it won't line up in 2012, HOWEVER, it comes close to lining up this year: 2010. lol so maybe that's what triggering it.

mind whatever data your looking at might be disinfo to calm the masses down.

i take it all with a pinch of salt atm, but my instinct tells me its not right the global weather systems.

I really dont know, I am just saying what he said, at first he said it felt weird and then he said that it was just a very little jolt and that he hardly felt it and he didnt think it could of been felt as far as NYC.

His words not mine.

ic thx for your input , as for me, i never felt nothing in my NJ location, i was quite amazed when i read it and the reports.

There where flood didn't reach directly there are landslides:

Soil couldn't soak up more water anymore.

i think in France floods are mainly caused by without restraint concreting . water doesn't flow as it should and concentrates to some places
