Generally good.

 

However I find the Mods section to be a bit disorienting.

 

Perhaps a re evaluation or re sort is in order. I refer to the fact that there seems to be no logical scheme in where the mods are placed.

 

Either seperate mods by category. DCS / LOFC or lump everything in together the way most of the mods currently seem to be in the 'general' section of Mods.

 

On the whole site is better layed out now. Aside for that one minor niggle.

Greater reliance/awareness needs to be directed at the File exchange. Provides for the very things you seek, ie categorization of Mods.

 

Definitely makes a lot more sense for a formal repository as now provided than reliance on the Forum for the 'showcasing' of said mods. As a general intro the forum is a good place to introduce Mods. Availability/Searching and downloading should primarily be done via the Files Exchange.

The mods section was one of the more tricky ones to arrange. The issue is that most mods are now compatible with both FC2 and DCSBS, except for the Modman packaging. As such, it makes sense to discuss them in a single area. However, some mods are still specific for FC2 or DCSBS, so we wanted to make a dedicated space for them as well. Depending on what happenes with A-10C, this arrangement may be reconsidered down the line again. I think it may be a bit disorineting now mostly because it includes threads from the two previously separate mods sections. I'm sure this will self-correct as posters make new threads under the new scheme.
